Who Are the Goth Girls?

The Goth Girls are a 10-12 inch handmade fabric doll collection by doll and wool artist Argante Dragonheart, and the inspiration for the Goth Girls online and print comic. A four panel mini-comic is issued with each doll, and larger stories are in the works. You'll be seeing more of both dolls and comic here as we move forward.

Limited Issue

Like anyone reading this page, the Goth Girls fall a bit outside the norm. Each is a unique art piece, and while a later doll may bear similar features to an elder sister, each is a uniquely-designed character and will be issued only once (except for the Bride, who is perpetual). Check the WoollyBlossom Etsy shop to purchase the dolls.

PantheaCon 2011

The girls are back in town!

Several of the Goth Girls attended PantheaCon 2011 (Feb. 18-21)... at least they attended the vendors' room. This year, they ventured past the WoollyBlossom sales booth, to interact with other wondrous vending opportunities.

PantheaCon 2010

Magenta at Goth Night

The Goth Girls dolls and comic premiered at PantheaCon 2010 (Feb. 12-15), at the WoollyBlossom vendor booth. The first six Goth Girls dolls were seen hanging at The Club (corner of Front Street and WoollyBlossom), at all hours.

The doll stands needed slight customizing from their factory condition to hold up the head-heavy dolls; before that, they kept keeling over and floating above the floor on their stands.

Various goths visiting the booth remarked that floating horizontally above the floor is a reasonable default position for a Goth in repose.

...actually, I don't think I got any pics of that…
